Being creative is who I am . At age 5, I knew it was my destiny to be an artist. When I'm painting or designing, I lose all track of time & it fills me with joy & energy. I'm inspired by the ocean and obsessed with painting light & shade. My art is for those who want to surround themselves in calm & colour.

Having been both a Graphic Arts Lecturer & Art Teacher, I have over twenty-four years experience in sharing my knowledge with others - specializing in beginners or "those who say they cannot draw" in a group setting. Learning to draw the face or figure or painting the ocean in a three or four hour session is a refreshingly different and relaxing team building idea. Introducing Art therapy techniques has been a big part of my Art teaching. Great for Corporate. Minimum 3 hour sessions. POA.
I have over 20 years experience with Adobe Photoshop -using it as a product development tool, for photomontages for clients and for creating entire scenes from my perspective drawings to a realistic setting ( picture above)

I started my Art career as a professional Illustrator and Graphic Artist in 1987. I worked with watercolour and gouache, specializing in realistic illustrations for marketing and corporate clients. Eventually, I moved into fine art and teaching art - working mainly in acrylic and watercolour. I moved to Queensland's Gold Coast and learnt to surf- where my obsession with water and light began. Becoming a surf artist and integrating the ocean into my art and design was a natural progression. Currently I am illustrating a series of Childrens Books and developing my skills as a Surface Pattern designer.

My favourite subject is the ocean, followed closely by portraits of pets & people. More than anything, I hope my love of colour and light shines through in my art.
I spend a lot of time in the ocean- surfing and swimming. I'm usually sitting on my board when inspiration hits.
I want my art to feel vibrant and fresh. I want to bring people's attention to certain shapes and colours that lead them into a feeling or a memory. This world can be a sad and scary place and life can be hard but I want to

I am fortunate enough to live in one of the most beautiful places on Earth and so I'm surrounded by inspiration to share it.
